What do the evidence badges mean?
Badges label the study type (e.g., RCT, animal, in vitro) and a simple confidence tier (low/moderate/high) based on study design and consistency.
Badges are a navigation aid: they help you understand how strong the underlying evidence is at a glance.
As a rule of thumb:
- In vitro and animal results rarely translate 1:1 to humans.
- Observational studies can suggest associations but don’t prove causality.
- RCTs, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses generally provide stronger evidence when well-conducted.
